Me and a few band kids came to the school to help paint 12 ft wooden panels for our marching band show. We painted with many different colors. It took us about almost 10 hours to complete.

I would go to peoples houses in my neighborhood and mow their lawns on weekends. I would be out there for 3-4 hours in the heat, making sure the lawn was spotless.
