JAYNE MARTINO

Thirty years of experience in pathology with personal experience in a combination of skills which are based on the ability to analyze human anatomy and pathology. I have extensive experience in being able to interface with surgeons, operating room nurses, radiologists, and Pathologists. I have worked with state and municipal investigators and I am highly respected by the Pathologists, surgeons and O.R. staff which I have worked with daily. I have been involved with training of (new graduates) Pathologists Assistants, medical students and Pathology residents.

• Assisted in preparation of frozen section specimens including: dissecting a cutting frozen tissue, staining slides, and dictating surgical cases.
• Accessioning surgical specimens in the hospital computers
• Procuring tissue for Electron Microscopy
• Assist Pathologists with fine needle aspirations and needle biopsies
• Assist Pathologists with bone marrow procedures
• Maintaining surgical cutting room by insuring it is properly stocked and cleaned
• Histology supervisor responsibilities include. Preparation of histology solutions, cutting and embedding staining formalin fixed tissues, maintaining cryostats, fixation centers and embedding centers
• Autopsy pathology evisceration, organ dissection, presentation of organs to Pathologist and attending Physicians
• Photography of gross Surgical and Autopsy specimens
