Dedicated barber with strong skills in hair styling, guest relations, and team collaboration. Committed to providing exceptional service while ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.
Gained over four years of practical hair cutting experience, developing skills in diverse hairstyles and techniques. These include anything from high and tight bald fades, to precise and textured scissor cuts all over the head. I also have a good amount of knowledge of different types of styling products and how firm they hold hair and how much shine or no shine will show. With my license, I am also qualified to handle a straight razor and perform straight razor shaves on the scalp and on the face. I follow all TDLR regulations in terms of disinfecting and cleaning not just before and after a haircut, but whenever I leave for the day. Ensured cleanliness and safety by deep cleaning and oiling tools, maintaining a tidy station, and properly discarding used razors after each service. As an independent contractor, I have the freedom to create my own schedule and work my own hours, and I pay a 25% commission to the owner at the end of every week because of my time with the shop.
Provided precision haircuts and grooming services to a diverse clientele.
Maintained cleanliness and organization of workstations and tools.
Assisted in training new barbers on techniques and customer service standards.
As a stylist, I ensure that every client that sits in my chair gets the ultimate championship haircut experiment in an all-out sports environment. I start with a client consultation and ask the gentleman how he would like his hair cut, how much length we’re taking off the top if any, and if he prefers his neckline to be rounded, squared, or tapered if the cut is not a bald fade. If it’s a scissor trim all over, I start by creating my first guideline on the sides and back and cut the desired amount off, and I proceed to section the hair off and cut the agreed upon length in those sections and then I cross check my work before repeating this same process on the top. If the client wishes to do our triple play service, I will perform the haircut first then take the client to our shampoo bowls, and I will then do a thorough and relaxing shampooing and scalp massage service. The massaging is done by placing both thumbs on the crown of the head and then I will rub on the 7 pressure points throughout the head. If the client chooses our MVP service, I will do the shampoo and massage service, but with it also comes the choice of a hot or cold face towel, and once the shampooing is done, I take the client back to the chair and put the towel on their shoulders and use our massager on the shoulders and back. After any of these services, even if it’s just a haircut, I then vacuum up all the hairs and disinfect my tools and I sanitize my hands.
As a guest service associate, I attended the customers by scanning any and all items they’re purchasing and/or inputting the amount of money for gas on their desired pump. Stocked the cooler with cold beverages and maintained cleanliness and organization. This particular phase of my life was significant, because in October of 2021, I officially started pursuing what became my defining career path: barbering. November of 2023 not only marked the end of my time working for RaceTrac, but also the start of my licensed, professional career as a barber.

Greeted patrons warmly, introduced myself, and took their orders to ensure a welcoming dining experience. Managed service across three theaters, efficiently attending to patrons’ needs while maintaining a high pace. Assisted fellow servers in delivering food to patrons during slower periods, promoting teamwork and customer satisfaction. Every night, I’d cash out the tips I made during my shift. This my shortest tenure to date at any job, because my time at this location was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
As a retail associate with Tommy Hilfiger, this was my first ever job and what introduced me to customer service. I worked part-time here while I was still in high school, and Maintained clothing racks and folded merchandise while assisting customers. Every now and then, I would be assigned to oversee the customers coming to the fitting room area to ensure no shoplifting was involved. I also helped ring up items at the register for the customers who were ready to check out.
Working at Mrs. Field’s Cookies, my main duties included cashiering which meant taking orders from customers at the register and handling cash, maintained cleanliness by sweeping and mopping store floors, washed dishes and assisted in baking cookies for display. At the end of every shift, I would take out all the trash collected from the day and replace all the trash bags with new ones for the trash bins around the store.
