As the Managing Owner, Founder and Professional Inspector of Structures for JDOGZ Inspection Services LLC, I have been methodically building a business in residential inspection industry to insure job my security and to achieve family prosperity by owning a company in a rapidly growing subsection of our real-estate industry, "Residential Home Inspections". Lift Station Technician, Wastewater / Public Works

As a Lift Station Technician I was partnered with one other technician. We were responsible for any and all maintenance related duties for 23 Lift Stations throughout the City. This was done with minimal supervision as we worked as our own leads and supervisors for 90% of each day. We were on call workers with special skills in facility building maintenance, building repair, building inspection, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting and repair, pumps and pump maintenance, well cleaning and repair, pipeline, mechanical repair. the following were general duties on our day to day schedules which we would put together and submit for approval weekly based on our facility and building inspections we would conduct during the month:

  • Maintained a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Keep and Maintain class A CDL with Air-breaks and Tanker endorsements
  • Operation and Maintenance of all 23 lift stations in the city which included 3 Surface water stations
  • Take readings and watch all electrical equipment for day-to-day operation
  • Be always “on call” when needed as a tech but had 4 crew members on the list
  • Maintain and use all SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) controls in the shops as well as train and monitor via phone
  • Manage any scheduling situations relating to the Lift Stations, buildings, grounds.
  • Implemented cost-saving measures by identifying opportunities for process improvements and resource optimization.
  • Scheduled maintenance and repair tasks in alignment with the Wastewater and Surface-Water maintenance scheduling for better efficiency and to help daily maintenance production.
  • Inspect, repair all facility buildings and property such as, interior and exterior building repair to walls, windows, doors, lights, floors, sinks, toilets, electrical panels, concrete driveways, wells which house the pumps, floats, catwalks, pump guides, tree and grounds maintenance, pressure washing, fence repair, asphalt repair, Generator inspections, and maintenance.
  • Report to the Manager and Supervisor of the Wastewater and Surface Water daily for a briefing of the work to be done and how stations are running
  • Work with the Engineering department on all changes to the stations needed or new construction of new stations within the system
  • Working with contractors, Inspectors, Locators or any other crew members working on any construction aspect of the projects
  • Maintain our own work truck which includes cranes
  • As well as tool inventory on truck
  • Work with “City Works” our asset management software to keep our own time for payroll
  • Work with a secondary Consultant (RH2) on all SCADA, Rugged, or Alan Bradley related issues to troubleshoot problems

Lead Maintenance Worker

As a Lead Maintenance Worker in the Storm/Sewer Department I was tasked by my manager or supervisor to handle a variety of tasks which includes scheduling day to day work for up to a six-man crew, as well as enter all time for payroll as it pertains to the crew. Also scheduled all equipment for the jobs, which includes all maintenance on our Storm system as well as working closely with our other lead as part of this process, including the Sewer Department Lead and Lift Station Technicians. Fill in as Supervisor and or Manager of the department when needed. Some of the responsibilities also included;

  • Plan all traffic control for Storm maintenance that occur in the streets
  • Acted as a mentor to junior team members, sharing knowledge gained from years of experience in various maintenance roles while fostering an environment conducive to learning and professional growth.
  • To scheduling and help the crew with all of the cleaning and CCTV work on our system to adhere to our permitting with the State of Washington
  • Implemented standard operating procedures for routine tasks, ensuring consistent quality across all aspects of the facility''s maintenance program.
  • Also aided in the pre-maintenance and maintenance of all sewer lift stations including their pumps and generators
  • As part of a 2, 3, and sometimes 4-man crews, we fix, clean and maintain the sewer system and storm system throughout the city
  • Scheduled the repair and maintenance on all man-holes and catch-basins, all sewer and storm piping, as well as all ponds and holding tanks.
  • Coordinated with external vendors for specialized services, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Operate heavy equipment which includes excavators, backhoes, rollers, forklifts, 5- and 10-yard dump trucks and Vactor Trucks and I am well trained in the operation of our CCTV Truck using the software “Granite”

  • Conducted regular audits of tools and equipment inventory, maintaining sufficient stock levels to support ongoing maintenance needs without excess spending on unused items.

As a Water Maintenance Worker , I began as level II because of the level of experience in the the water related field of construction I brought with me, which helped me top out as a level III in 1 year. I had worked in the water department as a water maintenance worker inspecting repairing all water facility buildings and pump station buildings. Painting, and general building repair was a requisite part of our day to day duties along with the inspection, repair and maintenance of water system infrastructure. Responsible for the following;
