RAICES is a non profit organization that is committed to help refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants. It provides free legal assistance to them and helps with legal fees. I help translate important documents from English to Spanish. I also help making calls to officials on behalf of detainees. We made calls to reunite Ubaldo and his soon who were refugees from el Salvador. After hard work and many calls, Ubaldo is free and reunited with his son.

Young Invincibles are a group of young adults ages 18-34 seeking to amplify the voices of young adults in the political process and expand economic opportunity. They focus on four main issues; Health Care, Higher Education, Work Force and Finances, and Civic Engagement. During my internship I planned our advocacy week where we met with CA legislators to discuss important bills. During our time with the legislators we highlighted important aspects of the bill and explained why it must be passed through the legislature.
