Design, Schedule, and supervise the engineering construction projects and maintenance works and ensure proper utilization of available resources and materials.

- Prepare an annual plan for engineering and construction projects in resources, materials, and services required to accomplish the United Nations Mission's mandate

- Plan and design project specifications, including development of Scope of works/requirements and technical evaluation of bids and proposals for construction projects.

- Prepare and review cost estimates for all engineering construction projects

- Conduct and review technical studies for the Mission's large construction projects.

- prepare and manage tender documents for Procurement of engineering and construction projects to be outsourced

- conduct technical evaluation for vendor's proposal and further submission of evaluation reports

- Develop guidance and procedures for Engineering support in all budget aspects, prepare and analyze monthly reports on Section budget consumption to monitor the implementation of the Budget compared with budget appropriation, and implement corrective measures.

- Lead and manage the contract's performance portfolio for all outsourced services.

Schedule and supervise the construction, repair, maintenance, and installation of buildings, camps/sanitary infrastructures, sites, and premises, including land in the enclosures of the Mission.

- Conduct technical evaluation of bids and proposals for construction projects.

- Supervise all works related to air-conditioning and refrigeration installations, electrical systems, generating sets or buildings, and infrastructure, including sanitary and structural installations

-Reviewing service orders and distributing daily construction, repairs, and maintenance tasks to the maneuvers and supervised technicians.

- Assist in Generators, air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical installations, and electrical systems in the Mission.

- Make technical evaluations of existing buildings and infrastructure;

- Inspect quality of work and performance for outsourced contractors

- Conduct regular technical assessments of buildings and infrastructures

-Draw architectural plans for the mission buildings, including specifications details using engineering software ( Archicad, Autocad, Robobat, MS Project,…)

-Perform other duties as required by supervisors and section chief.

Being in the position of Coordinator of construction works, I am called upon to perform many tasks, namely:

- Coordination of all works in different construction sites

- Planning and supervision of all construction projects in our Engineering Battalion Works

- Preparation of bidding documents for new construction/maintenance projects

- Regular monitoring of personnel and organization of meetings for the evaluation of projects

- Daily monitoring of the situation of the plant and various equipment for the Battalion

- Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of infrastructure of the National Defense Force

- Coordinate topographic surveys of areas for construction projects

- Plan projects and prepare related costs (Scope of work)

- Inspect the executed infrastructure program and prepare provisional or final acceptance with masters of works

- Make technical evaluations of existing buildings and infrastructure;

- Inspect quality of work and performance for outsourced contractors

- Perform other duties as required by supervisors and section chief.

I was appointed as an engineer to support the Burundi National Police under the Project " Support for Proximity Operations of National Police " ( PBF Project, funded by UNDP ). Works performed are:

- Preparation of quantitative and estimated bill for rehabilitation of six police stations ( Bubanza, Bujumbura Mairie, Bujumbura Rural, Bururi, Cibitoke, Makamba )

- Quantitative and estimated bill for the repair of infrastructures for the computer equipment

- Quantitative and estimated bills for the repair of infrastructures for transmission equipment

- Administration and coordination of the Project.

Head of construction sites with the Engineering Battalion in various sites:

- Servicing of areas ( Kinanira III, IV )

- Making a study and design for the construction of a School of Peacekeeping in Mudubugu

- Rehabilitation of a road at Mudubugu ( UNDP Project )

- Management of car parks in the National Defence Force

- Prepare the Scope of work for all construction projects

- Conduct topographic studies for different projects ( Roads, buildings, bridges, etc...)

- Administration and coordination of all tasks in Engineering Battalion Works.

Responsible for leading troops in various locations as Head of Platoon with tasks such as:

- Organize and ensure the general safety of Camp Kayanza

- Ensure the security of the populations of different towns in Kayanza Province is well-assured

- Participate in mobile security missions in other provinces of the country

- Administration and Coordination of all Troops in Kayanza Camp.
