I started at Reda Pump before it was bought out by Schlumberger in 1995. While I was there I learned how to build pumps which helped me when I became a field tech. I learned how to build down hole motors, spool cable, as well as basic machinery skills. I worked in the shop for 5 years learning basically everything from how each piece of equipment was built and it's purpose. I learned about inventory and how to do proper cycle counts to ensure we had parts at all time and handled ordering parts ahead of deadlines. In 2000 I moved into the field where I learned over time how the field works not just on our equipment but about pressure and the affects on our pumps. I have help start over 50 gas plants in the West Texas and eastern New Mexico area as well I have traveled to other states like Mississippi , Louisiana and Oklahoma. I was able to travel to Africa twice for Algeria , Gabon and Oman to help train and troubleshoot customer with problem units. In the field towards the end of my stay at Schlumberger I worked on soft starts and VSDs and learned how to do basic troubleshooting of electrical components.
I left Schlumberger in 2019 to help a start up company Performance Multi Flow and that ended by them selling to my current employer Flex Flow. I've continued to learn more about VSDs and instrumentation.
