As a medical field service technician professional in the military I acquired knowledge and practical skills in the nursing and emergency medical technician skill sets. I honed skills in clerical records management and the basic medical standard of operations. This was translated into the advanced warfare division of the military where I furthered my medical knowledge, acquiring tactical triage skills and practices. With this experience, I was able to educate different departments on policies and procedures as I led the division of Teamsteps, which are team strategies and tools to enhance Performance and Patient Safety, qualities that every medical professional should have to provide safe and successful patient care.
