  • Patrol operations for a county of 156,000 people and 3,341 square miles. This included everything from the National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management to inner-city gang activity.
  • Patrol Corporal/Supervisor of an 8-deputy patrol team. Managed and supervised calls for service, including mountain rescue, water rescue, high-risk domestics, traffic incidents, pursuits, assaults, and homicides. My team would handle as many as 80 to 100 calls for service per shift.
  • Certified Instructor: Firearms / Tactics Instructor for multiple weapons platforms. Certified Field Training Officer, Certified Tactical Medic Instructor, Certified SWAT Instructor for Sniper, Medic, and Entry.
  • SWAT Team: Entry, Sniper, Tactical Medic, and Grenadier. Entry operator any time I was not needed in a sniper role. As an Entry assaulter would conduct raids on high-risk warrants and apprehensions. I would also respond to active, high-risk events in progress. These included active shooter calls, barricaded subjects, and other active calls for service. I would also fill the role of Grenadier during these calls, deploying multiple systems of chemical and specialty munitions.
  • SWAT Team Sniper: Trained and deployed in multiple environments, including high desert, mountain, and urban settings, and in all weather conditions.
  • SWAT Team Tactical Medic: Trained EMT-B with tactical and wilderness enhancements. This training enabled me to treat victims in extremely hostile environments while maintaining tactical superiority.
  • Department Armorer: maintained and repaired multiple weapon systems, including Glock handguns, various AR platforms, various makes of shotguns, and bolt-action rifles.
  • Wildland Firefighter: A firefighter in multiple environments, including brush, grassland fires, and full-scale forest fires. During this time, I obtained my certifications as an engine boss, live crew supervisor, advanced firefighter, and initial attack incident commander.

I was also able to obtain grant money and construct a new training range that was utilized by multiple agencies in the county.
