I had the opportunity to be the departments lead Firearms Application Officer. I was responsible for in-depth background investigations for firearms applicants of our residents. This is one of the departments largest responsibilities.
I pushed myself very hard in my career and received many meritorious awards for both life saving, apprehension, child birth, and finally leading the department in DWI arrests.
I greatly enjoyed fostering communication with residents. I started an autism awareness program to assist in communication with children with autism spectrum disorder.
I had extensive training in DEI cultural diversity and gender affirming communication.
