- Shadowed Dr. Roberto Fernandez-Blay at his med spa and primary care office
- Observed a variety of medical procedures including hormone pellet insertions, semaglutide administration, EKGs, etc.
- Developed strong relationships with team members by participating in collaborative tasks.
- Improved understanding of industry standards with regular attendance each day.
- Overall this experience greatly enhanced my knowledge of both clinical procedures and the broader impact of lifestyle factors on patient health.

01.2022 - 02.2022
- The 2022 Capital Health internship was a three week program that involved rotations in over ten different departments.
- I was able to observe in the NICU, pediatric ER, wound center, OR, cath lab, OB & maternity, etc.
- I learned how to flush a port, motivate a mother through unmedicated child birth, distinguish heart beat patterns and much more. I also was able to observe a combined tracheostomy and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and watch several surgeries like an ACL/MCL replacement, should repair, and a should implant.
- Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.
