  • This season I traveled to various Youghiogheny Wild and Scenic River locations to do trail maintenance and collect data.
  • Trail cameras were used to count rafters and boaters during Deep Creek Lake release times.
  • Data collected was placed into a spreadsheet.

Activities

  • Represented Garrett College at the STEM Like a Girl program at Rocky Gap State Park by conducting aquatic macroinvertebrates sampling at upstream and downstream sites to evaluate water quality and agricultural runoff impacts.
  • Assisted in a Northern Saw-whet Owl banding study by banding owls and collecting field data in Garrett County for three banding seasons.
  • Participated in invasive species management efforts by removing Japanese barberry and other invasive plants at Deep Creek Lake State Park.
