I am a mother of 5 children! My oldest is a Junior studying Pre-Med at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. I have 4 children in high school. I was an early childhood and a "Mommy & Me" teacher for many years. My real passion lies with newborns and new Mommies. I decided to pursue my dream at the age of 43 and started taking courses to apply to the nursing program. At 47 years old, I graduated nursing school with the goal to become a Postpartum (Mother/Baby) Nurse. I have been lucky enough to be fulfilling my dream at Broward Health Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, working in Postpartum (Mother/Baby). I treat, enrich and educate the new parents on feeding, changing and overall guidance on how to care for their new baby as well as the health and assessments of the postpartum mother. In my first year of nursing, I have received a life saving award, positive feedback and I have started a charity to raise money to send nurses' children to day camp. I feel so lucky!
