- My duties included processing upwards of 400 hospital charges daily
- As our doctors started decreasing time in the hospital, I started helping with some of the A/R processing
- I also took on the duties of processing the Chronic Care Management and Remote Patient Monitoring charges which included 4 large reports of over 1000 patients each
- I was also put in charge of processing the demographic information and charges for our doctors interpreting pulmonary testing at 4 different hospitals
- I am currently the charge processor for the remaining hospital charges, the pulmonary testing charges, a portion of the CCM and RPM charges; and, I have recently started processing portions of the office and sleep study charges for the practice
- I am well versed in charge entry, CPT and ICD-10 coding and some A/R processing.

- I started out as a front desk clerk
- I was promoted to Surgical Coordinator a few years later
- I was then given the opportunity to work at an off-site physicians' office and worked the front desk and keyed the charges for his office
- I moved up to the billing office after maternity leave
- I continued doing charge entry and was also responsible for processing any Anthem remittances each week
- As the practice grew, the billing office moved off-site and I became part of a 3-person charge entry team keying charges for the over 25 physicians in the practice and was responsible for processing month-end reports every other month
- I was chosen to participate in many of the different aspects of the billing department operations over my 25 years with the practice.
