• Participated as part of an interdisciplinary team including nurse clinicians, psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, and behavioral health clinicians.
• As a psychiatric social worker, I completed two psychiatric evaluations/assessments per week. My tasks included meeting in person and reaching out to parents via phone to perform assessment, education, and coaching (coaching regarding parenting skills, interventions to improve mental health and physical health, level of functioning, and improved level of satisfaction with one’s life).
• As a program social worker I collaborated with patients and families to set goals and supported and assisted them in reaching these goals. I utilized several therapy techniques including motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, psycho-education, general health education, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I provided education and coaching in the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skill of Interpersonal Effectiveness.
