Lead nurse of a 50 bed unit responsible for overseeing all patient care activities provided by lower level nursing staff. Staff nurse on MICU/SICU unit. Provide compassionate care to critical patients exhibiting acute and chronic illnesses. Continually assess patients, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians as needed to direct patient care. Pair with respiratory therapy to manage mechanical ventilator support. Administer medications via multiple routes. Provide basic patient care such as bathing and grooming. Maintain central and arterial lines. Delegate appropriate nursing care tasks.

Provided direct patient care, such as vein puncture, electrocardiograph, glucose monitoring, vital signs, skin care, comfort measures, and positioning. Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge, pre- and post-operative care, postmortem care, collect lab specimens.
