Summary

Have loved teaching elementary students for 21 years and am ready to take a new path. Many skills that I've refined over the years can apply to writing grants. Have developed excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have had many and varied opportunities to write over the years, both personally and professionally. Have extensive experience prioritizing projects, which is a critical skill that educators use hour after hour, day in and day out.

Being an educator requires not only teaching children to write clearly and well but writing lesson plans and requests that require organized thinking and writing. Strongly value integrity, teamwork, and positive interactions with colleagues. Am also a proven hard worker who does what is needed to get the job done, dependable, have good judgement and understand the value of attending to detail.

In addition to writing professionally, have supported family members many times over by being asked to proof read and edit their undergraduate and graduate level writing projects as well as professional letters and pieces of less magnitude. These occurred within personal as opposed to professional life, and are additional examples of strong writing abilities.

As listed continuing education listed shows, am an eager lifelong learner and would welcome the opportunity to develop writing skills even further by by writing grants to support Mesa County .
