As a school nurse, I assessed students daily for signs and symptoms of illness. Maintained health records, assuring immunizations were current, physicals are up to date. Conduct hygiene education and preventive injury to students. Administered medications daily to students, as well as medical treatment such diabetic care, asthmatic treatments, and any authorized care by a prescribing physician within my scope of practice. Submitted reports to state such as immunizations compliance and head injury reports. Participated in IEP's and 504's for students along with school staff.
