- Negotiate optimal contract terms and conditions to lessen risk and maximize objectives.
- Manage bidding process and award of purchases and delivery orders for construction and service contracts.
- Identify optimal acquisition strategies and prepare contracts for approval.
- Currently managing ten contracts valued at $20 million total.
- Closely monitor and evaluate contract performance to determine regulatory compliance and necessary amendments.
- Review current contracts to identify upcoming contract expirations and coordinate with mission partners.
- Lead meetings to resolve performance issues and facilitate any necessary contract modifications.
- Manage full procurement cycle by planning, reviewing, soliciting, awarding, administering and closing out contracts to achieve seamless transition at all levels of procurement.
- Conduct extensive market research, formulate acquisition plan, select applicable clauses, handle multifunctional team reviews, write memorandums and complete forms to prepare solicitations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse clientele even in high-stress environments.
- Examine records and business information for adherence to government regulations in FAR, DFARS, and AFFARS.
- Create and present squadron level trainings.
- Provide individual training to military and civilian contracting professionals.
- Ensure timely, effective, and efficient cradle-to-grave contract support to meet the needs of mission partners/stakeholders.
- Provide quality business advice, leadership, and guidance regarding contracting policies, procedures, and directives.
- Ensure work products are high quality, accurate, complete, and timely that reflect sound business approach and compliance with policies, regulations, directives, and laws.
- Submit clearance reviews in a timely manner and in accordance with approved acquisition milestones.
- Complete documents and perform pre-solicitation actions for all assigned services requirements to ensure they result in high quality, accurate, complete, and timely work products that meet regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Effectively manage, plan, and prioritize new contract workload based on Contracting Officer guidance, regulatory/procedural requirements, and mission needs and apply sound business principles and regulatory/statutory requirements in the development and award of contracts.
- Effectively develop and prepare assigned acquisitions for contract award to ensure no breaks in service.
- Prepare and present conference presentations for contractors prior to submission of quotations and after award.
