Provided primary care medical services to patients in Deming, with one day a week in Silver City. Most of my patients are elderly, with multiple chronic medical conditions such as COPD, diabetes, HTN, etc.

-Wrote bimonthly primary care notes on the nursing home patients.

-Responded to ongoing concerns from the nurses: too high/low blood sugars, behavior concerns, changes in mental status, etc.

-Transferred patients to the hospital, with sign out to the hospital team.

Treated patients for STDs. Gained experience interpreting syphilis test results.

Did medical exams on Saturdays for patients seeking disability benefits.

Provided primary care medical services to patients with either multiple chronic conditions, or severe psychiatric issues, in their own home, or in small group homes. All of my patients met Medicare homebound criteria.
