Professional Objectives

I am best suited to be a 4/5 English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher, as I have nearly 30 years of experience in those grade levels and subject areas. I am passionate about building relationships with colleagues, students and parents. I believe in working as a team for the betterment of all students. I constantly strive to educate myself about the profession and practices, while I strive to be better with each passing year.  I am an avid gardener and value watching students prosper in the garden, while experiencing the SEL benefits.  I attend multiple CCS garden workshops throughout the year, along with the Annual Garden Conference each year, headed by the OSU Extension office. Finally, I have been a devoted member of the PBIS team in multiple schools since my first training in 2005. I thrive while working with a team to analyze behaviors and how we can motivate students in a positive way, holding high expectations throughout the building for all students.
