Extracurricular Activities

Girl Scout Leader, 5 years, Created activities for the girls that helped boost their self-esteem and got them involved in the community. We built and donated a Buddy Bench to one of the local Elementary Schools, Volunteered to a local Soup Kitchen monthly, hosted bake sales to support a local family that had a child with Cerebral Palsy and hosted a Santa Breakfast for a few years in our town for children and families.

  • Sunday School Buddy Program-I was a buddy and a personal friend to a little girl who attended my church. I helped her stay involved with group activities and brought her to our sensory room when needed.
  • Night To Shine Prom for adults with special needs- I was an escort to a gentleman named Aaron, who I had the privilege of being his "date" for 2 years. I also was a "date" to other attendees and had the pleasure of dancing with them and helping them during the evening.
  • Attended multiple Caring Hearts Dinners held by a local church for the special needs community in the area. I have escorted and became good friends with a woman named Lori who has Downs Syndrome. I have also had the pleasure of being a buddy to other individuals that attended these dinners.
