Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Procedural Float Pool

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients by providing nursing support to various Duke Ambulatory Hematology Oncology Departments throughout the Duke Health System.
  • Administer Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood products, IV Iron, as well as other supportive care interventions such as IV hydration, electrolytes, antibiotics, antiemetics, steroids, etc, when working in the the infusion centers. Locations include: DUH Cancer Center Oncology Treatment Center, DUH Radiation Oncology Alcove, DRaH Cancer Center Cary Location, and DRH Cancer Center.
  • Trained to administer BCG bladder treatments for bladder cancer.
  • Provide Phlebotomy support at DUH Blood Cancer and DUH Port Lab Department in the Cancer Center by demonstrating expertise in various types of intravenous access devices, including peripheral catheters, midline catheters, and central lines.
  • Cross trained to float to COVID clinic to administer antibody infusions.
