Accomplishments

    2022 Co-founded the Sacred Retreat Foundation a 501 C 3 Educational Organization. A not-for-profit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all people through, food, arts and ecology. www sacredretreats.org

    1991: Research and Outreach trip to Chiapas in Southern Mexico. Graduate Students from Humboldt University outreach trip. I was the only undergraduate picked. We traveled and worked together with local communities and farmers, building “Lorena” stoves using natural materials from local sources to help give the native people more energy-efficient cooking abilities in their homes

    1990 Peace Trees Youth Mission. Collaboration from three countries, USA, Russia and Costa Rica.

    On this trip, we went to the University of Peace in Costa Rica and then traveled the country planting thousands of trees in ecologically degraded areas to promote soil regeneration and biodiversity. A unique program that focused on communication from different cultures to promote peace and conflict resolution.
