
Over thirty years of leadership experience in the art world. Worked as a museum educator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for twenty-two years managing and overseeing all adult groups visiting the Museum. Coordinated the public Gallery Talks program involving all levels of museum staff. Hired, audited, supervised over 60+ contractual employees. Currently working in Visitor Experience at San Francisco Museum of Art as an on call private museum guide engaging and presenting to a variety of groups with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Also working part-time as Director of Artists in the Schools at Gallery Route One serving an entire school district with a large population of immigrant families. Designing and bringing cross cultural and cross curriculum supplemental art instruction to classrooms.
Developed and presented specialized in person tours of the permanent collection, architecture, and special exhibitions. Engaged a diverse audience from High level members and corporate donors to community groups enhancing guests' experience. Connected and enlightened guests during museum and private special events. Worked closely with front line, curatorial membership and visitor experience staff. Gained a solid knowledge of the day to day operations of SFMOMA.
Act as Gallery Route One's representative in all academic collaborations within the Shoreline District including school staff, teaching artists, students, parents, community partners, and GRO's Board. Identify a unifying theme for the school year and build a team of teaching artists knowledgeable and adept in creating art-centered educational projects appropriate for students in grades K-12. Recruit, select and manage over 15 teaching artists. Develop strategies and tools to identify areas for growth and create an environment which allows for continued enrichment.
Offered client-tailored art consulting and collection management services to seasoned and new collectors. Worked closely with individuals and businesses on selecting single or multiple artworks to build or expand a collection. Fostered ongoing relationships with artists, recruited and selected. Ensured professional packing, storing and handling of all artworks.
