My passion for racing started when I was a kid about eight years old. My dad bought his first late model circle track race car and decided we’re going to hit the track as a family. Since my dad was young, he’s always had muscle cars like Camaro’s and Chevelle‘s to name a couple. Ever since I was in that environment, I got the bug to learn as much as I can and one day hopefully race myself. I started tinkering with cars and helping my dad in the garage learning race car maintenance and setup so we can go to the track and be fast off the trailer. I bought my first truck when I was 14 years old and started taking it apart and fabricating things right away. I learned how to weld at this time which was on my own truck with my dad‘s welder. I had a 1973 C-10 square body on airbags and 20 inch rims.
This is about the time I started to race myself. From my dad’s past knowledge, I had a lot of success early and had a natural ability to perform on the race track. Also had self motivation to stay up a lot of long nights to get our race car just right so we can go out and have an opportunity to win. I’ve had a lot of success and won a lot of races with that mindset. As years went on I was able to race in some big events against some of the top drivers in the southwest. I’ve raced in California, Nevada, Arizona. I’ve been in races with Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Ron Hornaday Jr. A couple of the main tracks we would go to is orange show Speedway and Irwindale Raceway. I then got an amazing opportunity to get hired at In-N-Out Burger which is taking me from California to Texas and now Arizona. I’ve dreamed about one day being involved with racing again. I know I will have an opportunity someday to continue my racing passion. I’ve learned so many skills with In-N-Out Burger and have matured as a person, husband, father, and have sharpened my servant leadership skills. I am so grateful for everything In-N-Out Burger has given me and I see myself here for a very long time. Racing is my passion and always will be and I can’t wait to continue my journey with it in some way.
