Dispatch / Facility Technician
-Monitor and Program Conspec system for hazardous gasses throughout the mine and high water alarms.
-Monitor and Program Minesite Tracking system for locations of personnel and equipment throughout the mine.
-Monitor the Allen-Bradley system.
-Repair and calibrate several types of gas detectors.
-Repair various other items including cap lamps, tracking devices, airstream helmets, mine phones.
-Very comfortable with computers, experienced with Excel and Word.
-I assign all company iPhones.
-Do all the ordering for my department either with the SAP system or with my p-card.
-Write down preshift examinations once they have been called out by the foremen.
-Issue out gear to the miners each shift including phones, gas detectors, lamps, proximity detection devices, surface radios.
-Monitor for lightning and handle appropriately when there is danger.
-Take phone calls from outside the mine as well as underground.
-Monitor and respond as necessary with the surface radio system.
-Weigh trucks in and out.
-Hazard train visitors and vendors.
-Do monthly permissibility on UG phones, lights, proximity devices, gas detectors.
