Acheivments

  • Direct involvement in the development of seven new Fargo Public Schools facilities. Providing hands on leadership in design coordination, project development, and execution to ensure projects were completed on schedule and aligned with district standards.
  • Direct involvement in the end to end execution of twelve unique and fiscally significant capital project building renovations completed on time and within budget.
  • Developed and implemented a robust preventative maintenance program for our 27 building properties across the maintenance and operations department.
  • Reorganized the maintenance department by transitioning from a building engineer staffing model to a skilled trades and building hygiene based structure. This was accomplished by working alongside the human capital department to redefine custodial lead roles to enhance cleaning and hygiene duties and standards, while hiring trades specialists to accomplish skilled repair tasks. These changes were accomplished through a strategic wage adjustment scale model leveraging an attrition based staffing approach.

Strategic Transformation Opportunities

  • Establish a peer driven monthly employee recognition program across operations department to strengthen culture, engagement, and workforce retention
  • Design and implement an OSHA aligned safety training program, standardizing practices and improving workforce safety across all support staff
  • Deploy a District wide Lockout/Tagout safety program to ensure hazardous energy control procedures leveraging regulatory compliance for all service personnel
  • Evaluate and potentially advance a performance based contracting model to execute District wide LED lighting retrofits, reducing upfront capital burden while targeting measurable energy savings across the District portfolio
  • Develop a comprehensive fleet replacement master plan, aligning lifecycle management of vehicle and grounds equipment to align with future long term capital forecasting and operational reliability goals
  • Centralize the maintenance and operational leadership team into our existing Operations Center to improve coordination, task management, response time, and decision making efficiency
