  • Directly assist the Head, OP section in the supervision, management and administration of the overall conduct of several military personnel accession programs for the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserve to include: Enlisted Commissioning Program (ECP), Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP), Meritorious Commissioning Program - Reserve (MCP-R), Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), Officer Candidate Course (OCC), Platoon Leadership Class (PLC), Reserve Enlisted Commissioning Program (RECP), U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and United States Naval Academy.
  • Supervised, delegated and assisted with the performance of (5) Marines, (3) Navy Corpsman and a GS-09 employee with administrative and technical duties which all correlated to the success of Officer Programs mission attainment.
  • Provided guidance, policy interpretation, and answered procedural questions from civlian and senior military members, both inside and outside of the MCRC chain of command. Ensured accomplishment of annual accession requirements through The Basic School's reporting of new commissioning officers, attending one of the six training classes.
  • Executed and coordinated the operational planning associated with shipping of approximately 3,500 officer candidates to Officer Candidate School annually. Provide training and briefings on current and proposed policies for assigned personnel action programs to a wide variety of individuals, managers, and key officials to include military officers.
  • Provide input and conduct training for Officer Selection Stations (OSS), Region and District Assistants for Officer Procurement Staffs (AOP), Marine Officer Instructors (MOI), and Assistant Marine Officer Instructors (AMOI).
  • Daily coordination with program managers from Eastern Recruiting Region (ERR), Western Recruiting Region (WRR), six Marine Corps Districts, Officer Candidates School (OCS), The Basic School (TBS), the office of the Secretary of the Defense, and other outside staff agencies is required.
  • Assisted in the coordination of long range, broad based planning for all officer programs with comprehensive analysis of problem areas and provide a constructive approach to the solution of the problems. Provided accurate and timely guidance to requests for information received from various inquirers.
  • Assisted in determining the necessity for changes in functional priorities and standard business practices in the OP Section. Provide administrative support to selection boards, provide data systems support for all Marine Corps Officer programs, and serve as a liaison for the development of Marine Corps Recruiting Information Support System (MCRISS).
  • Assisted in planning, scheduling and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of officer recruiting operations. Provide specialized knowledge and expert advice and required briefings concerning manpower policies, recruiting practices, and accession processing. Operationalizes laws and new policies into applicable practices for execution by the recruiting force.
  • Provided sound/well analyzed advice for decision making with the Head, OP, G3 and MCRC CG.

  • Guided and trained ten Officer Selection Teams and ten Captains in Systematic Recruiting, mission accomplishment, prospecting activities and the shipping of candidates to Officer Candidate School.
  • Provided advise to the District Commanding Officers on matters pertaining to Officer Programs mission, enlisted Recruiting Sub-Station training and Equal Opportunity processing of allegations. Appointed as a Command Physical Training Representative to conduct PFT's and CFT's on all Marines in the command.
  • Successfully assisted in the decision making process of how and what to mission RS's for Officer Mission to ensure the ability for the RS's to succeed as well as the Marine Corps District achieving it's annual Officer Mission.
