- My Subsea engineer experience is mostly on NOV Shaffer Equipment with some Hydril, Cameron TL, and Cameron evo.
- Subsea Engineer on a dual activiy drillships.
- Supports safe and efficient operation of a 6th generation Shaffer MUX BOP.
- Up to date with all API and company regulations and policies.
- Creating a work instruction for each job we do, along with a JSA, cold work, hot work, isolation, or confined space permit depending on the task.
- Maintaining and keeping a moving maintenance schedule on surface equipment including, a Crown mounted compensator, HP air compressors, Hydraulic tuggers, Maintenance baskets, Choke and kill manifold, nitrogen generator, Marine Riser tensioners.
- Maintaining and keeping a moving maintenance schedule on Subsea equipment including the blow out preventer, Vetco riser, and Diverter system.
- Support the senior subsea engineer with work scopes, and documenting after actions to ensure all work is captured for future improvements or references.
- Pressure testing and charting BOP test following API regulations.
- Perform weekly function test of subsea equipment to ensure it stays within requirements.
- Conduct a daily check list of all surface and subsea equipment.

- learn and develop the knowledge and skills to assess, troubleshoot, plan and rebuild hydraulic, electronic and pneumatic components to a blow out preventer used on a 5th generation deep water drill ship.
- Assist the Subsea Engineers on tower with planning and maintaining a PM schedule for all of our surface and subsea equipment.
- Conduct a daily check list of parameters on all of our equipment like HP air compressors, Triplex hydraulic pumps, Regulators on various components, and set pressures on subsea equipment.
- Responsible for making functions on a 5th generation Shaffer BOP.
- Worked the rig floor on a Platform, Jack-up rig and deep water drill ship.
- Tripping pipe in and out of a well.
- Lining up the choke manifold for drilling operations.
- Lining up the choke manifold for transfers of drilling mud or other chemicals used down hole.
- Assisting the derrick hand with mixing chemicals for mud properties.
- Monitoring the shakers for correct mud weights and viscosity.
- Fire and rescue team in the event of a emergency.
