Detective Henschel currently serves with the Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit; primary duties include documenting and processing the scenes of Homicides, Officer Involved Shootings, and Serious Assaults, as well as other investigations as assigned. Detective Henschel provides objective analysis of the scenes investigated, using various forensic techniques, such as chemical testing of suspected bullet defects and body fluids, scanning and mapping bullet defects/trajectories, and the use of alternate light sources to detect evidence.
Detective Jesse Henschel is currently assigned to the CCSO Major Crimes Unit, as the Evidence Detective, and has been so employed since November of 2018.

Prior to his posting to Major Crimes, Detective Henschel served a Patrol Deputy with he Sheriff's Office, responding to routine and emergent calls for service. Detective Henschel has served on the Mobile Response Team, and as a Field Training Officer.
