• Making sure to push fluids and that he eats all of his meals.
• Listening to all of his needs and great stories of his life.

• Communication with the staff when I find or see something not right.
• I also report to his daughter daily with an update from the time spent with her Dad.
• I love all that do for my client and the time spent with him. It gives his daughter peace about each day in hoping he doesn’t feel alone.

You will notice when I left Genesis in 2013, I have a gap of being unemployed. I left a couple days before I had my 4th baby. At this time my husband and I decided it would be best to take sometime home with our children. We also took custody of our 7 year old niece at that time. I was needed at home. I definitely enjoyed this time. Over the past few years I have been doing private care. About 6 months ago I started thinking about getting my CNA certification back. I took the 8 week class and the state boards I completed in early March. I’m ready to get back in the work field and try something new.

• Monitored patients' vital signs and reported to nurse.
• Maintained cleanliness and organization of client living spaces and equipment.
• Provided companionship and always listening to my residents needs.
• Worked well with others in order to give the very best care possible.
• I have a special place in my heart for the dementia residents. I mostly worked on the Dementia HC unit. I then transferred to the therapy department to be come a tech. I started with having residents I saw regularly for maintenance exercise program. I them helped with scheduling the therapist and keeping the gym clean and what ever the staff needed.
• This all started maybe about 6 months towards the end of my leaving. Only because Genesis Rehab came in and took over the therapy department. I then switched employment to continue in the department but still stationed at Westminster.

• ADLs
• Bathing, shaving, grooming, dressing. What ever the resident may have needed. Also providing patience and a caring heart and excellent listening skills.
• Allowing the resident to be independent as mush as possible.
• Answering call bells promptly.
• I worked health care for sometime.
• I was then moved to the Grace Gardens (memory support). I worked 7-3 and then started a trail with CW and worked 12 hour shifts. It really worked well the dementia residents have familiar faces as much as possible. I truly love working with dementia residents. In all honesty my heart is for all elderly. I would strive to give them the very best care. They all had a special place in my heart.
