Providing helpful resources to excel in succeeding in studying and future exams. This pre-professional fraternity opens doors for various volunteering experiences from setting up an Avicenna dinner, reading to children, food can drive, etc.
Kappa Delta Chi Multicultural Sorority-with the pillars of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership within the network that I sincerely resonate within my life and continue to represent throughout my career. Networking with Alumni from the university and other sisters across the world that are part of the sorority on raising awareness of issues and explicitly working towards the philanthropy of the American Cancer Society.
I-Cause Coalition-served for undocumented and ally student here at UIUC. In which we discuss fundraising, opportunities for those students in need as well as discussing certain issues revolving around the topic.
Volunteer work - At my local Catholic Church, I volunteered to help the catechism teacher if anything was needed. I went to the Saturday and Sunday morning classes to help children comprehend more on the religion, help out organize any fundraiser or fairs that would be hosted in the church after mass.
Alpha Phi Omega- Service fraternity based on scouts and building friendships amongst the co-ed brotherhood. Volunteer work is done consistently along with bonding activities while engaging in the community.
Laboratory for Emotional and Stress- I work in a research lab in two projects, AgeCareVets and CADA MAMI project. I participate in interviewing Latina mothers in Spanish to get insight on their feelings and mental health when the COVID-19 Pandemic started and from now. In the AgeCareVet study I also reach out to care giver facilities sending them fliers about the project to hopefully get more participants on their experience on being caregivers for those suffering with mental health.
Carle Volunteer: I volunteer in the medical surgery unit in which I make sure to sanitize everything from counter tops, and doorhandles. Additional to that I am also in charge of stocking up the cabinets needed for the patients needs such as hygienic products, specimen containers, cleaning supplies and etc.
