Jessica Cruz Chavez

As a cosmetology student I spent my first year learning about haircuts,braiding,hair additions ,blood exposure and more then my summer course started and we learned nails,facial,pedicures,waxing,make up and more , we also started to take clients my first ever client was a man and he had came in for a haircut I remember being nervous but I remembered to stay calm and listen to my client wants and needs. I asked for help when neede. now that I'm in my last year I am a bit better at communicating with clients and I have learned more things like color,perm,relaxer and other. I have also learned to work front desk checking people in and out and how to schedule appointments and word dispensary.

I am a member of the FCCLA club at concord high School. What I is in this club is participate in fundraisers to raise up money for our competition trip. I also participated twice for competition , in March 14 2023 I participated in fashion design and made a dress and design other outfits and this year on March 19,2024 I participated in fashion construction and created a dress that would help people feel comfortable when wearing.

I started my journy as a spideretts member , my sophomore year and continued it my junior year . The reason of why I joined this club was because it involved a lot of decorating and school involvement. our club got to help decorate the whole school for the week of the most important game against our riva school. we also planned a trunk or treat for elementary kids and we got to interact with each other. And we also helped donating winter clothes.
