Conducted onsite visits of long-term care facilities, independently, and as team member, or as team leader (monitoring progress of each team member, oversees orientation and training of new surveyors, review documentation of team members for accuracy of findings, prepares team's survey documentation) in order to determine compliance with state laws, rules, and regulatory requirements and Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Assess and evaluate nursing and medical needs of patients that are institutionalized, initiates and directs implementation of nursing care plan and observes, evaluates and records patient behavior, condition and response to medication, treatments and therapeutic activities. Coordinates clinical and medical appointments, provide professional nursing care.
Directs delivery of and evaluates psychiatric and nursing care of patients as delivered by lower-level professional and non-professional staff (LPN's, hospital aides, therapeutic program workers) on assigned shift. Monitors LPN medication administration, documentation, patient care, and operation of medical equipment and assists in orientation and training new nursing services employees. Prepares and reviews records and reports, updates nursing care plans, transcribes and or verifies doctors' orders, writes and reviews treatment plans and writes nursing summaries. Serves as interdisciplinary team member.
