Currently manage five adjusters handling four jurisdictions. Provide mentoring to each individual based on their needs using my technical experience.

Implement quality assurance measures, monitoring staff performance and providing constructive feedback for continuous growth in their careers.

Ensure we are delivering exceptional customer service to our policyholders, customers and vendors.

Review and approve reserves and settlement evaluations to bring files to resolution.

• Responsible for investigation and analysis of highly complex and large exposure claims
• Conduct in-person visits with injured workers and their families to provide support and compassion during the initial stages of their loss
• Work closely with Partners such as Paradigm to facilitate medical care
• Ensure injured workers are placed in the most appropriate Centers of Excellence for their specific needs
• Provide coverage for Directors while they are out of the office
• Some activities I assist with include approving reserves, payments, assigning new claims and leading strategy sessions on complex claims
• Perform detailed analysis on complex claims to gather data on amounts paid and ensure future reserve projections are in line
• Work with Director and VP on vendor contracts for complex claims to determine appropriate strategy and future exposure.

• Responsible for analysis and assignment of claims to adjusters with direction, quarterly adjuster performance evaluations and claims audit supervision
• Specialize in handling catastrophic claims; PTD exposures and resolution of old standing claims by full and final settlements
• Highly experienced with reserving files accurately for lifetime exposures anticipated
• Familiar with completing own LLR’s and settlement evaluations without the need of Defense opinion
• Fluent with all state form requirements, timeliness, and associated EDI filings.

• Specialize in handling governmental entity claims, including claims by police officers and firefighters who are covered under the Presumption laws
• Worked directly with city or county agencies to mitigate cases and their potential exposures
• Report appropriate files to Excess Carriers timely and efficiently.

• Analyze complex issues and claims to determine benefits due for each jurisdiction per their specific statutes
• Reserve cases appropriately to avoid salvage or potential stair stepping
• Complete a thorough investigation with all involved parties to ensure handling of each unique case as appropriate
• Maintain a good relationship with all clients as well as provide excellent customer service
• Manage litigation process and ensure timely as well as cost effective claim resolution
• Negotiate settlements to resolve claims and reduce duration if risk is no longer an issue.
