- Varsity cheerleading for 4 years. Through this commitment I was able to develop strong leadership skills and the ability to perform under pressure. I created a strong relationship with my team and learned effective communication skills.
- Volunteer at the American cancer society as a staff member for organizing and running a camp for children affected by cancer. Also help assist with hosting events and fundraising for the organization.
- Volunteer at an organization called Camp Discovery. This Community is a support camp for children affected by trauma. I was a Staff member that organized games and activities for the children at their summer camp. During this time I got to be a mentor for the children and provided support for each camper.
- A member of the First year council for SWAB at UGA. In this council we work together to plan, fundraise and organize events where the children of Athens are given an opportunity to shop for gifts with a UGA mentor.
- On the outreach committee for Relay for Life. Organization fundraises money for the American cancer society and participates in a walk for breast cancer.
Accomplishments
- Member of the National Honor Society. I had the opportunity to do 20 hours of volunteer work for the National Honor Society, where I participated in various community service projects. This experience allowed me to develop leadership skills, work collaboratively with peers, and make a positive impact in my community.
- Member of the National Spanish Honor Society. Committed to learning another language through 5 years of Spanish. Participated in several Spanish speaking events that allowed me to enhance my proficiency and expand my knowledge.
