I come from a home with a single mother and two younger siblings. As the oldest I've always had to look after a communicate with others in order to solve problems. I had my daughter at 17 and still mange to finish Highschool and get my Diploma. Providing for my daughter is once again my main drive. I've had it pretty rough growing up so that's only made me a patient and considerate unstoppable force that topples immoveable objects.
I've worked with customers face to face through the years. I've handled money and I'm very constant with my drawer. Have taken great initiative to answer the phones when customers call and sometimes have done so while still interacting with customers, great multitasker. Frankly, there times where I'm my own boss, sometimes quite literally cause I've done swing shifts. I've work afternoons and midnights, on midnights I work alone and do a great job at again; multitasking. While I bake cookies, clean the entire store top to bottom, restock, and sometimes putting a whole truck full of stock by myself, while also cashing out customers. I work hard and I'll smile all through it cause I love working with people. I believe in the kindness of strangers and want to return the favor in anyway I can. Whether it be upselling, solving problems under pressure, or dealing with nasty people; I always win them over.
I would collect the items for customers through a remote app on a couple assigned smart device. I would have to communicate through text messages for substitutions and special requests. I would then bag the items and when the customers arrived I'd carefully place it in their vehicles. I did all this through the pandemic so it was especially busy and really difficult. Something went wrong everyday and it was a lot of pressure, but still I flourished. I left due to unfair pay as it was below current minimum wage.
At this location I'd make drinks while handing them out to customers. Naturally Drive thrus are rife with customers that are hunrgy and sleepy. I was working here on mindnights and eventully would work at Gaint Eagle during the day. I'd wake up in the afternoon, go to Dunkin at eight, work my eight hour shfit, shower and change. Then I would immediately head to Giant Eagle and work another eight. Go to sleep in the afternoon and do it all over again 5 days a week. I forgot to mention I've also baked donuts and muffins and food at times when there was no one else to do so on top of my previously listed duties. I've worked hard for every dollar I've ever earned. My motivation is to provide for my 6 year old daughter and to give her opportunities that I never had.
