Accomplishments

2017 - Navy and Marine Core Achievement Medal; Professional Achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as primary acoustic sensor functional segment active and passive operator in USS Port Royal (CG-73) from 7 to 18 August 2017. Petty Officer Jewell consistency performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. During theater anti-submarine warfare and submarine command course-53 Miniwars, he led the condition two anti-submarine gold watch team in holding 16 hours of active and 27 hours of passive contact on three opposition forces submarines. His efforts led to the successful completion of 13 detect-to-engage simulated attacks, counter-detection of 23 mk-48 exercise torpedo launches, and two subsequent mk-46 exercise torpedo counterfires. Petty Officer Jewell's initiative, perseverance, and loyal devotion to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.


2022- Professional achievement while serving as a Talent Scout at Navy REcruiting Station Shawnee, Navy Talent Acquisition Group Red River for the month of November 2022. Petty Officer Jewell performed his duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. His commitment and outstanding recruiting techniques led to the attainment of three active contracts, one reserves contract, one high quality, and two total test category upper objectives helping to achieve 150 percent NCO goal, which exceeded the command's monthly goal. His efforts resulted in Navy REcruiting Station Shawnee achieving full mission attainment and directly contributed to the command reaching its mission objectives in these high priority billets. Petty Officer Jewell's exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance, and loyal devotion to duty reflected credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service
