· Works in a 24-bed neuro critical care unit handling 1-2 patients per shift
· Manages critically ill patients who are suffering from hemorrhagic/ischemic strokes, neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries and post cardiac arrest patients who meet hypothermia protocol criteria
· Handles specialized equipment such as External Ventricular Drains (EVD), ventilators, Intravascular Cooling Devices, Arctic Sun, Rapid Infusion Machine, and FloTrac monitor.
Skilled in performing, conducting endoscopic procedures that include handling and specimen retrievals and interventions such as: Polypectomy, Biopsy, Balloon and Savory Dilation, Esophageal Varicose Banding, PEG Tube Placement, and Argon Plasma Coagulation and associated hemostasis procedures. Completely handle high risk emergent patients with acute bleeding using multiple therapies in a fast and efficient way. Extensive knowledge of reprocessing Olympus and Fujinon scopes, as well as troubleshooting and keeping procedure rooms organized and stocked. Highly self motivated individual. Assist physicians and nursing staff with various tasks and responsibilities during procedures as well as prepare patients for procedures. Set up endoscopy suites with equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
