United the greater school community by organizing, promoting, and engaging in impactful community service events. My team and I worked with various organizations to build stronger relationships between our school community and the Dallas area as a whole. Through my time on the council and academic career, I have accumulated over 160 community service hours.
During my internship at Fortress, I learned about financial analysis and corporate credit through hands-on project work. I contributed to the team by conducting market research, and summarizing information from reports and confernce calls related to analysts' workflow. This experience was enhanced by completing various Excel-based projects that developed my entry-level data management and analytical skills. A key accomplishment involved collaborating with a fellow intern to research, analyze, and deliver a presentation on the multiquarter financial breakdown of Dexcom to our supervising team leaders. My immersion in the corporate environment was enriched by attending company meetings and speaker series, providing valuable insights into industry practices.
I assisted my high school basketball coach in managing two separate summer camps that took place for younger students. I developed leadership skills through instructing and leading younger players in fundamental basketball techniques and drills. I organized engaging games to ensure all campers had fun and safe experiences. My team and I also ensured the safety and well-being of all campers throughout the duration of the week. Both camps took place in July in consecutive summers.
Volunteered on various Fridays throughout the school year at local DISD elementary schools. Assisted teachers by tutoring children, organizing classrooms, and serving as a role model to younger students.
