Junior EMT

2 Years 6 Months
Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue | 03.2024 - Current
  • I have been a Junior EMT since March of 2024. I have successfully taken the EMT class at RCC. I have been responsible for patient care including but not limited to taking and watching over vital signs, obtaining EKG on patients, documenting, attending to lacerations, and having to apply life saving measures to stabilize patients while transporting to either the emergency room or transporting to be flown out to a bigger hospital. I have spent a good amount of time helping patients with personal care and helping them get in a more comfortable position while maintaining their privacy and respect. I especially enjoy the time and conversations that I'm blessed to have with elderly patients. I love getting to know them and being able to help them in any way that I can. I throughly enjoy lasting relationships with patients that I've had for a while and I also love meeting and caring for new patients. I love everything that I have done and I look foward to what the future holds!
