As an Intellectual Disability Support Coordinator, responsibilities included working within the framework of promoting self-determination and person-centered supports. Engaged 28-32 individuals and their families in the development of plans and budgets that assured their needs and preferences were addressed and life opportunities expanded.

Developed service plans using the person-centered planning process that clearly identifies the services, needs, and outcomes that are innovative in meeting the individual's service needs.

Used knowledge of Medicaid Waiver and State Plan Option to ensure appropriate provision and documentation of services while following licensure and Medicaid regulations.

Provided Behavioral Consultation services for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring Mental Health diagnoses.

Provided a comprehensive approach to behavior change through Positive Behavior Support, a research-based approach that teaches people with challenging behaviors, and the people who support them, new skills that promote successful living in community settings.

Assessed client needs to make judgments regarding program and case management strategies, supervised client work, taught social skills, and assisted with client self-help activities. In addition, I conducted departmental trainings as requested, assisted clients with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health diagnoses with employment preparation, employment training, and follow-along services.

Endorsed Positive Behavior Support Facilitator through Dept of Medical Assistance Services

Assisted individuals with intellectual disabilities with on the job training in their place of employment. Used problem solving skills to overcome any employment barriers. Floated between work with Project Safety Net (MH/ID), Enclaves, Sheltered Employment. Required good interpersonal skills which included the ability to empathize, demonstrate respect, communicate, reflect feelings and confront constructively.

Established start-up petroleum and water testing lab. Developed all Standard Operating Procedures. Purchased all instrumentation. Brought all instrumentation online. Hired and trained lab technicians to analyze all samples and maintain instrumentation calibration. Marketed at sales/trade shows. Collaborated with sister lab in Boston, MA to ensure consistent analytical techniques. Maintained inventory. Ensured workplace safety.
