Serves as a healthcare data analyst for the strategic planning and development team in the facility.
Assists Executive Leadership with data analysis, such as collecting and interpreting data and analyzing and reporting results. Reports weekly to executive leadership and service chiefs during morning meetings. Morning meeting reports include weekly uniques, encounters, and appointment utilization for all Western North Carolina VA Health Care System (WNCVAHCS) locations.
Routinely uses VHA Support Service Center (VSSC) to gather data for data requests. Data from this tool is used to influence decisions impacting patient care. Used VSSC to determine the need of Dental expansion in the system's catchment area. I've also used reports from this tool to assist space management specialists with space requests. I am also one of the two VSSC points of access for the facility.
Uses data analysis tools to extract data to identify patterns and trends for strategic planning initiatives. Solely, created a facility market assessment and made recommendations to add an additional CBOC in Lenoir area, expand Franklin CBOC, and possibly establish a sharing agreement in Hendersonville area.
Uses geospatial application, such as ArcGIS and Maptitude to create local maps to help visualize potential future locations for expansion of medical services for veterans. Maps from these apps are also used to identify which services are needed in the health care system's 3 community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs).

Created a tracking system for space committee using Excel to record past and current space requests. Replaced and developed a new user-friendly space request portal, using PowerApps.
