Extracurricular activities

  • I was part of the RCMC Band member since 2022. The Rancho Cucamonga Marching Cougars had participated in local and out of state competitions. For example, in 2023, RCMC competed in BOA (Bands of America) Regional in St. George, Utah, and WBA (Western Band Association) Class Championship in Fresno, California. We made it in finals for both competing circuits with our shows “In Plane Sight” and “Second Star to the Right”. In the show “In Plane Sight”, I was one of the four chosen students that were responsible to carry a tarp that is a major visual element of the show. We also brought back many awards throughout the seasons from all the competitions we participated in.
  • Animal of World Foundation Club Treasurer 2024-present As the Treasurer of the club, I held the responsibilities of organizing fundraisers, managing finance and distributing of the usage of available funds the club have, and recording transactions made for club events. In this role, I proactively contact local stores to coordinate fundraisers to help the club on gaining more money to organize events, creates budgets on where our funds can be spent on, and updating officers on the club’s financial status. While I’m in charge of this role, I performed consistent communications with different people, financial calculations on budget issues, and efficient choice making that helps the club in the best way possible.
  • Science Olympiad Club Event Coordinator 2024-present As the Event Coordinator of the club, I was responsible for communicating with teachers and event hosts, organizing meeting schedules, and tracking attendance for both club members and competing team participants. In this role, I ensured clear and timely communication between all parties involved, maintained organized schedules to keep the club’s activities on track during our meetings, and monitored attendance to ensure active participation. My efforts contributed to the smooth execution of meetings and events and fostered strong collaboration among members and external partners
  • Chinese Folk Music Club Secretary 2023 As the club’s Secretary, my responsibilities include assisting other officers in the club in organizing events at school, communicating with teachers and advisors, and ensuring compliance, such as submission deadlines for event forms. In this position, my leadership skills can be seen through my efforts in active team coordination, for example, ensuring and distributing jobs along with the club’s President to each officer. I delegate tasks effectively to ensure our planned eventsclub activities and cultural celebration events held by our schoolcan run smoothly. Moreover, I fostered collaborations among club members by facilitating clear communication and recruiting participation from outside the club, organizing to meet the club’s goal efficiently and successfully.
