• Capstone: Diphenylethane(DPE) production

        Role: prototype design and data analyst; 

        Description: The goal of this project is to make a preliminary design including the economic and safety analysis for DPE plant that it should be  able to produce 5000 metric tons per year of DPE at 99% purity.

• Research: The Synthesis, Characterization, Photophysical and Photochemical Process of 4-ethyl-4’-fluorobenzophenone

       Description: The 4-ethyl-4' fluorobenzophenone is synthesized with 4-fluorobenzoyl chloride, ethylbenzene, and aluminum chloride at 128 °C by Friedel-Crafts acylation method and the product is characterized by gas chromatography mass spectrometry and infrared spectrometry to check its purity and constituents. The UV spectroscopy is essential for the qualitative identification, quantitative analysis, and
characterization of the product.

     1. Conducted experiments to investigate what kind of electrolytes can have a great 

         CE/lifetime for manganese ion battery.
     2. Assisted in experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
     3. Collaborated with team members to achieve research goals.
     4. Contributed to the preparation of research manuscripts for publication.
