Jiayi Zhang

Hello, my name is Jiayi Zhang, and I am from Shanghai, China. I completed my high school education at Shanghai North Cross School and am currently a sophomore at UC Davis, majoring in Animal Science and Management. During high school, I served as class president for four years and actively participated in various school activities and volunteer work, which not only honed my leadership skills but also enhanced my teamwork and communication abilities.

I also founded a DIY club, leading a team to raise funds by selling handicrafts. This experience taught me valuable skills in event organization and project management, while also deepening my understanding of creativity and entrepreneurship.

At university, I am focused on studying Animal Science, aspiring to develop my career in animal care or management. Additionally, I am actively involved in campus life as an Executive Board member in the Business Development department of the Chinese Union at Davis, where we aim to support Chinese international students in the U.S.
