Passionate leader with experience in public affairs, foundations, non-profit organizations, and small business. Early professional experience includes serving a United States Congressman and working as an associate to the CEO of a multi-national energy corporation (AES) within its private foundation. Mid-career experience includes grass roots work with a non-profit reaching high school adolescents and grant-writing, which solidified an emphasis on the importance of local leadership and community development that led to joining the Denver Leadership Foundation to work with city and state leaders, including the Mayor of Denver, on several projects that included a focus on public-private partnerships to address and solve problems. Worked in Rwanda for three years with a consulting firm designed to advise companies and create jobs and working in Denver with a longstanding non-profit focused on developing and building supportive housing communities. An independent thinker with people and project management experience who likes to build bridges and fill gaps. High interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to serve the larger good and be a team player. This has enabled work opportunities, learnings and impact across government, non-profit and business sectors.
Worked with a team to raise $40 million dollars to build the Clara Brown Commons, a beacon supportive housing community in the heart of the Cole neighborhood in Denver.
