⦁ Provide end-of-life education and care to patients, families & caregivers.
⦁ Assess patient and loved ones home care needs including emotional, physical and spiritual support.
⦁ Provide support and comfort according to individual patient needs.
⦁ Collaborate with other hospice personnel in the direct care of shared patients.
⦁ Communicate all pertinent information and evaluation through clear and concise documentation.
⦁ Assist patients and family with concern and compassion.

⦁ Provide care for surgical, orthopedic, and medical patients.
⦁ Perform assessments, develop care plans, and perform nursing duties such as placing and maintaining IV lines, administering IV fluids, IV medications, blood transfusions, blood sugar monitoring, caring for drains (JP's, Hemovacs).
⦁ Assess for and manage pain by implementing position changes, cold therapy, physical activity, and/or administration of pain medication in a timely manner.
⦁ Assess surgical incisions and wounds for signs and symptoms of infection.
⦁ Educate patient and family regarding medications, post-operative care, and health management
⦁ Coordinate daily with physicians, surgeons, and health care teams to achieve optimum patient care.
⦁ Float to other floors as needed to accommodate staffing shortages.
⦁ Orient, train and mentor newly hired staff nurses.
