years of professional experience

I chose to pursue a career in fly fishing back in 2018. From there, I have learned a significant amount in relation to fly fishing and the natural environment in this world that we occupy. It has taken me to some incredible places on this earth, through both work and pleasure.

I have been fortunate to explore several saltwater destinations in my off time, searching for various species of fish (Permit and Roosterfish being the real demons to my existence). As with any Angler and Guide, I have a lifetime more to learn and am thoroughly looking forward to the many experiences ahead.

It has been a dream of mine to explore and learn Saltwater fisheries at a professional level. I was able to gain my USCG certified 6 pack for inland waterways back in 2023 and plan to keep this current through the coming years. I would like to gain sea time in order to upgrade this license to a near coastal endorsement.

I would love to have a chat with you all at No Name Lodge to see if this could be a good fit for employment opportunity. I have heard nothing but good things about your operation and would love to learn some more information to see if I could be an asset to your team. I am a hard worker, easy to get along with, and have a passion for serving clients looking to gain an experience in this life. Fishing is great, but as we all know, the experience in this industry goes far beyond the fishing. I really appreciate you guys reading this, and I hope to hear back from you!

Work History

Co-Owner and Operator of San Juan Limo

1 Year 4 Months
San Juan Limo | 01.2025 - 05.2026
  • Me and my business partner/friend created this company in order to fill the roll of providing private transportation to and from Telluride Ski Resort and the Montrose, Colorado airport.
  • I worked as a part time driver and full time operations manager for the company, allowing me to connect with our clientele first hand.
  • We provided private luxury transportation to our clientele, through servicing them with top notch customer service and a quality attitude.
  • We started this operation in order to provide winter work for ourselves and friends, employing 4 people, not inclusive of myself and my business partner.
  • Through wanting to live a different lifestyle, we chose to halt the operation in May of 2026.

Fly Fishing Guide

1 Year 4 Months
Gunnison River Expeditions | 04.2025 - Current
  • Guided clients in the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation area, just below the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, a renowned fly fishing destination for trout.
  • These trips involve rafting clients down the 14-mile stretch of the Gunnison Gorge in a backcountry setting, with up to class IV whitewater, typically up to 3 days at a time.
  • Providing an experience for clients through customer service and dedication to being a steward of this phenomenal river corridor.
  • We pack these trips to be loaded on mules, in order for our gear to be dropped off at the bottom of a 1 mile trail head to the river put in.
  • From there, these trips enter a wilderness corridor, where we as guides row them, fish them, and cook for them through the 2-night, 3-day trips. This season runs from April-September.
  • This job has allowed me to become extremely versed in communication from a fishing stance, as well as a safety and environmental stance.
  • Repeat business is a crucial part of this outfit as well. We give these guests an experience that they will want to come back for and in turn, see many of them year after year.

Fly Fishing Guide

3 Years 5 Months
Alaska's Enchanted Lake Lodge | 05.2021 - 10.2024
  • Guided fly fishing in and around Katmai National Parks backcountry via a fly-out fishing operation.
  • We excelled in excellent customer service at Enchanted Lake Lodge, while ensuring attention to detail when it came to customer experience, safety, and fly fishing.
  • I worked in a backcountry environment, running jet boats, rafts, and hikes (all revolving around fly fishing), navigating incredible terrain through bear country, remaining cool, calm and collected in adverse conditions, and keeping guests safe and comfortable when nature wanted otherwise.
  • This was a summer position and we operated from May-October in SW Alaska. This job provided me with four great seasons in a pretty magical environment.
  • Many of our guests were repeat clients. This allowed us to not only create meaningful relationships, but it also encouraged exceptional customer service that created a once in a lifetime experience that they would want to live more than once in a lifetime. The majority of them came back year after year.

Sales Associate

3 Years
The Telluride Angler | 05.2018 - 05.2021
  • I worked in The Telluride Angler Fly Shop.
  • We excelled in selling Scott, Sage and Winston fly rods, along with a multitude of different reel manufactures, shipping them all over the world through our online store.
  • I provided first hand intel to our customer base when helping them select the right tools for the job on the water. Through fly rod sales in person and online, I was able to speak with hundreds, if not thousands of fly fishermen worldwide, in order to help them select their arsenal wisely.
  • Through my love of travel and fly fishing, I was able to put these rods to the test in order to speak about them, in some incredible saltwater and freshwater fisheries.
  • I was also able to spend 11/2022-04/2023 working as a Sales Associate at The Telluride Angler.

Fly Fishing Guide

3 Years
The Telluride Angler | 05.2018 - 05.2021
  • Guided Fly Fishing for trout in SW Colorado, including the Dolores River, the Uncompahgre River, and the San Miguel River.
  • I provided meaningful experiences for my clients on some beautiful mountain streams. Catching fish was a priority, with overall customer service elevating my clients experiences.
  • I continue to work part time with The Telluride Angler, guiding trips for them when available.

Ski Ticket Checker

4 Months
Telluride Ski Resort | 12.2017 - 04.2018
  • This was my first position post college, allowing me to get my legs under me in the comfort of a ski town. I was introduced to the world of tourism, and the high class service industry.
  • This position is important to me, because it allowed me the opportunity to grow as an individual and eventually see what I really wanted to pursue in my life. It was through this job that I turned down my already lined up corporate responsibility in the city of Denver, in order to pursue a career of taking people fly fishing in the outdoors (a long standing passion of mine).
